fortune cookies

tonight we went to corinth to eat chinese.
a wonderful meal, as always. it takes us a little over an hour to eat and trash our table, including tommy screaming when we dont feed him fast enough, mark anthony making at least 3 trips to the bathroom, listening to lacee's stories, and me getting my fill of sushi.
i am so proud of mark, he actually tried sushi tonight!! i have been begging him to for years, but oh no, not gonna happen. tonight i ordered some spicy tuna rolls, and they were great. the first 2 i had werent very spicy at all, so i convince him to try one. of course, its a hotter one. he wasnt impressed. the next 2 i ate were hotter than my first 2 as well. i felt bad for telling him it wasnt hot when in fact it was a little. and since he cant havel spicy any more, whats a little hot to me sends him searching for a full glass of sweet tea.
donnie met us there and joined us for dinner as well. this is not a rare occurance for us, but hasnt been able to happen as often lately as in the past. it is, however, a dining set up that causes some funny looks from people who knew me and/or donnie when we were married. it is not common for a woman to be able to eat dinner with her husband and ex husband. thats too bad though, because we feel it is great for lacee. it is probably even good for mark anthony and tommy. the three of us are able to be friends, to talk, to be united in parenting lacee. lacee is blessed to have 2 daddys that love her very much.
so as is custom, at the end of your meal you open your fortune cookie....you read it....you eat your cookie but you dont eat any more of your food or else your fortune wont come true.
after tonights fortune had lacee, donnie laughing and mark in stitches.....i had to eat some more in the hopes my fortune wouldnt be true.
