memorial day

memorial day was a lazy day for our family.

we stayed home and rested most all day.

early in the afternoon, i got a case of cabin fever and decided we should go to the circle and swim. mark wasnt feeling to great as sinuses were harassing him. so, i took lacee and mark anthony to the circle for the first time this year, and tommy stayed home with mark.

we loaded up some snacks, went to the store for ice, got to the circle, unloaded, set up our area, walked out to the water only deep enough to get my knees wet.........then came the lightening.

seemingly out of nowhere, the storm came fast. before we could grab our stuff and get to the van, the wind was nearly blowing us over and producing flying sand.

by the time we got on the bridge, the rain was so hard you couldnt see the car in front of you.

we did make it home safe, waited in the van for a break in the rain and ran inside.

and thats just where we stayed, inside the rest of the day.
